There are four trim levels available for the 2020 Nissan Armada: SV, SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. As you check out your new SUV, look down at the tires. The SV features 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The SL has machine-finished 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels. A tint has been added to the Platinum trim wheels. The Platinum Reserve’s 14-spoke, forged aluminum alloy wheels increases to 22 inches. As you work your way around the front of your new vehicle, you’ll notice the chrome air vents. These not only make the vehicle stand out, but they also allow airflow in and out of the engine compartment. The LED headlights let you see clearly regardless of the weather
All four trims rely on the same engine: a powerful 5.6-liter 32-valve V-8 with a dual overhead camshaft. It uses the Nissan direct injection system and Variable Valve Event and Lift Technology. The engine produces a hearty 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. You can get 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway out of the 26-gallon regular unleaded fuel tank.
You can decide between front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive for any of the trims. The seven-speed automatic transmission gives you plenty of power in low gear, while keeping the engine quiet at higher speeds. Use the driving mode selector to adjust your vehicle to changing conditions and terrain automatically. The auto feature switches the vehicle between two-wheel and four-wheel drive as needed. The 4H feature gives you traction on rocky, muddy roads. The 4L mode gives you maximum torque and traction on rocky roads and steep terrain. Your new Armada tows up to 8,500 pounds with proper equipment.
Step inside your new eight-passenger SUV, and you’ll find all of the technology you need to enjoy your trip. The navigation system gives you door-to-door directions. It uses voice recognition so you can look up your destination without taking your eyes off the road. Connect to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and take care of things at home while you are on the road. If you are planning a family trip, consider adding the available tri-zone entertainment system. It allows your rear-seat passengers to play games or watch movies, using the included headphones, while you listen to music.
Six air bags surround you with peace of mind on the road. The built-in vehicle dynamic control system gently corrects the vehicle if you oversteer or understeer. Your traction control system helps avoid wheel slips in adverse weather conditions. For young passengers, each Armada comes with the LATCH system. Use Nissan’s Snug Kids guide to find the perfect safety seat for your child and your vehicle.
